This intensive one-day programme has been designed for Executive and Personal Assistants undertaking people management activities.

To be a great people manager takes skill, determination and a willingness on your part to offer a fantastic and inspiring supervisory service.

Stepping into an EA/PA role which includes managing people can be tough and this one-day programme directly recognises and works on this aspect of the role.

When leading a team, it is your duty to know how to get the best out of them, working cohesively, while inspiring and empowering them to be the best they can be. It’s no secret that this in turn leads to higher productivity and a happier workforce!

According to research carried out, ineffective people management costs the UK over £19 billion in lost working hours per year and only one in five respondents claimed they had management training.

The role of people manager/supervisor/team leader will only likely increase for many Executive and Personal Assistants. With our programme you can expect practical exercises, theory and group discussions on what it takes to be a great People Manager.

We will provide delegates with the key components and lots of resources in order to foster a fantastic, healthy and productive team environment, whether that is managing one person or a team of people.

This course is suitable for EAs and PAs who have taken on the role of line management/team leading/supervisory. This could be managing another administrative professional or a team of PAs/Secretary’s.

This intensive one-day high level training programme has been developed for EAs, PAs and Management Assistants in order to help build core effective management skills, to successfully operate in today’s ever changing business world.

EAs and PAs are consistently required to operate effectively and confidently at a senior management level, while having significant input into the day to day operations of businesses and organisations.

We embrace the belief at EPAA, that every EA/PA is a manager and you manage an organisations most valued resource – its leaders!

We will cover a multitude of areas and you can expect practical exercises, theory and group discussion. This programme will ensure EA/PA professionals are equipped and in the know on how to excel in these areas of the role – strategically, successfully and more importantly with confidence.

This course is suitable for experienced Executive and Personal Assistants, who wish to further extend their knowledge on the management facets of the role. It also serves as a great grounding for EAs and PAs who are looking to work and/or move to senior level Assistant positions.

If you are a member of EPAA, you are able to pay via 2 x installments 

Costs include all course materials, refreshments and lunch. All attendees will receive a certificate of attendance, as well as CPD points for those taking part in a CPD plan.

Upon your completed booking you will be sent a psychometric assessment. Once you have completed the assessment, your course tutor will then book in a 30-minute coaching slot to talk through the results and as part of our preparation for the course ahead.

Our support doesn’t stop when you leave the course! All delegates will be offered a further 30-minute coaching slot, as part of your development. This is optional but we strongly suggest delegates do. This is suggested to take place within three months of course completion.

One of the unique challenges in the modern working world for many office professionals, is the ability to be assertive.

By being assertive, this means you have the ability and skills to express yourself confidently, constructively and with effectiveness. It’s expressing your thoughts and feelings in an honest and appropriate manner, whilst preserving the rights of others.

This one day intensive programme will enable delegates to have greater confidence in this subject area, with well-defined tools and techniques, in order to ensure a sound understanding of what it means to be assertive.
