The EPAA CPD scheme is not mandatory for EPAA members, but we encourage as many members as possible to take part and perhaps work towards becoming a practitioner of the EA/PA profession. Prove your worth and credibility to employers across the UK.
EPAA’s CPD scheme works on a credit basis and includes a variety of activities, for which you can achieve credits towards your annual record from; attending conferences and courses, listening to podcasts, reading books and business related articles.
We take a slightly more modern approach with awarding via credits and not just ‘hours’ spent. If you are a new member to EPAA and join before the 30th June in a calendar year, you are able to backdate your CPD credits to the 1st of January, even if you were not a member at this time!
Our CPD calendar year commences on 1st January and concludes on 31st December each year.
What is Continued Professional Development (CPD)?
We know a great many Business Support Professionals have never taken part in a CPD scheme and others have, perhaps via other membership bodies or indeed your employer.
CPD quite simply put, is a process or activity that provides added value to the capability of the individual member through an increase in professional knowledge, skills and personal qualities. EPAA’s scheme will assist and support you in keeping your records current and relevant. Our help won’t stop there, as we will help you to put together a career plan for your learning and development, which will in turn support you in moving your career to the next stage.
In today’s extremely fast paced business environments, we believe our programme provides real credibility in your status as a Business Support Professional and not only this, to employers across the UK too. In addition, it allows you to demonstrate your competence levels at every level and stage of career as an Executive or Personal Assistant.
Work towards Practitioner status
All levels of our membership are entitled to join the scheme. However, both ‘FEPAA’ and ‘MEPAA’ level members can obtain ‘practitioner’ status after two years continuous CPD. Therefore, will be able to use the letters ‘FEPAA Practitioner’ or ‘MEPAA Practitioner’ after their names. To learn more please login to the members area of our website.
Just recently we celebrated with our first group of members, who have completed two years of the CPD programme and have been awarded Practitioner Status, or if on the junior levels of our membership grading, saw an upgrade of membership.
