Imposter Syndrome and how you overcome it

Tuesday 13th June 2017 | 19:00 – 20:00

Trainer: Victoria Darragh, Founder of EPAA

Learning outline:

Impostor syndrome (also known as impostor phenomenon or fraud syndrome) is a concept describing high-achieving individuals who are marked by an inability to internalize their accomplishments and a persistent fear of being exposed as a “fraud”.*

Suffering from imposter syndrome is common place among every level of the EA/PA profession. Whilst the skill set of the EA/PA has moved on considerably, the mind set of where the role sits and is viewed, has had an increasing impact on most assistants in this way.

IS affects both men and women (although is found to be higher among females) and at its worst, can lead to anxiety, self-sabotage, burnout and mental health problems.

This insightful webinar will explore what IS means and how much it is impacting your working life.

We will work through strategies on dealing with IS and why this matters to enjoying a successful career as an assistant.
